Since the first physical moon landing in 1969, our fascination with outer space has only deepened. Over the past decades, technological advancements have allowed us not only to explore the vastness of the universe—through the James Webb Space Telescope—but also to construct our own digital worlds within the deep fields of the metaverse.
The word cosmos describes the totality of existence—matter and space intertwined—of which we are an intrinsic part. We form, create, and continuously seek to understand our place within this ever-evolving expanse of meaning and purpose. Cosmos, as an intervention, examines our relationship with both the universe and the metaverse—two realms that are infinitely expanding, filled with possibility, the unknown, and the thrill of utopian potential.
Between these two forces, Earth itself becomes an interstitial space—a threshold between the universe and the metaverse. Cosmos presents digital art as a transcendent reality, photography as a manifestation of the impalpable, and the moving image as a moment of reflection.
For ten days, Cosmos will inhabit Toasted’s courtyard, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in this multiverse—an interplay of outer and inner spaces, where stars, pixels, and corporeal existence converge.
