Ground to Remember presents soil as the autonomy of life - from the granular material forced into geography, history, and identity to the ground as the bearer of our realities and the nurturer between life and death. Based on this aliveness, on nature as an active participant, these photographs speak of memory, history, trauma, hope, and our own understanding(s) of the world. Amongst individual works, Ground to Remember created a collaborative piece that looks at the photographic medium as an evolving exploration through fabric and video.
