How do we organise ourselves? Nexus of Imaginaries is the central thread of the ongoing series that weaves together art, conversation, and an intimate dining experience. Rooted in the idea of the multi-species, we invite artists and researchers to share their worlds - through close observation and open exchange - offering current ideas and findings. Each iteration unfolds within the framework of a themed exhibition, shaping the evening’s dialogue. The dinner itself becomes a moment of gathering and reflection, where even the menu is carefully considered in relation to the theme - an evening of weaving, speculation, and deep listening.

The first Nexus of Imaginaries takes its guiding principle from:
“Organic, organ-ism, searching for new -isms. Mark-making practices for a world that won’t give a shit about you for much longer.”

Grounded in the psychology of space, these gatherings take place in environments of process and unfinished work. How we sit, communicate, and come together shapes both the setup and the program, dissolving the boundaries between host and guest, creator and creation, space and actor.

The accompanying image captures a typical entrance space in Lamu, Kenya, reflecting the tradition of the Daka—an interstitial meeting space between public and private. In this spirit, Nexus of Imaginaries explores spatial and creative modes of organizing, gathering, and exchange.
